Earlier this year, Matchi joined forces with ATB Financial and KPMG in Canada to run a Customer Onboarding Innovation Challenge that aims to reimagine customer onboarding and management through collaboration with fintech firms.

Open for four weeks, the challenge was highly publicized via Matchi's global fintech network. News of the challenge spread worldwide with feature articles appearing in leading financial and tech-focused publications including Banking Technology, Finextra, Econo Times, Ventureburn and Crowdfund Insider.

Upon closing, the challenge had received 50+ entries from 14 different countries including solutions from Israel, Czech Republic, Russia, Vancouver, Silicon Valley, South Africa, Hong Kong, Australia, India, and the UK.
All responses were validated by Matchi analysts and scored by a team of 14 executives from ATB Financial preceding a 4-hour facilitated workshop where the shortlisted solutions were unanimously confirmed.

The Top 6 Shortlisted Solutions that will progress to the final round are:

  • Aimbrain (United Kingdom)
  • Avoka (Australia)
  • Kyckr (United Kingdom)
  • TRC Mobilearth (Canada)
  • Trulioo (Canada)
  • Simple KYC (Australia)

The shortlisted firms will present their solutions directly to ATB Financial during the final round which will take place from 1-3 June 2017. From there, at least one of the shortlisted firms will be announced as the ultimate winner of a paid PoC project with ATB Financial.

Congratulations and Good Luck to the Top 6!
