iProov wins the FinTech Innovation Challenge by Sony
iProov to commence with PoC project within Sony Corporation
Matchi is delighted to announce that London-based firm iProov has won the FinTech Innovation Challenge by Sony and will commence with a Proof-of-Concept project within Sony Financial Services.
The winning solution is Verifier, iProov’s next generation strong authentication service. It combines great simplicity of use with very high levels of security, in a cloud-based authentication-as-a-service solution that works on mobile devices and Windows computers.
The FinTech Innovation Challenge by Sony was hosted and marketed exclusively by Matchi. The challenge attracted global interest and was featured across publications such as Finextra, Payment Week, FS Tech, Disrupt Africa and The Merkle.
Matchi received over 50 responses from firms across 28 countries. A panel from KPMG, Sony and Matchi individually assessed and scored each response on Novelty, Ease of Implementation, Potential Impact and Overall Impression. The highest scoring response in each category was invited to present their solutions directly to a panel from Sony Corporation who in turn selected iProov as the ultimate winner.
