In partnership with Matchi, Sony Corporation is challenging the global FinTech community to respond to the FinTech Innovation Challenge to compete for a PoC project (Proof-of-Concept project) within the multinational conglomerate.
What's in it for you?
The highest ranking innovation in each of the six themes will have an opportunity to present their solution to a judging panel from Sony on 17 March 2016. From there, at least one innovation will be announced as the ultimate winner and that firm will continue through to the PoC project phase within Sony.

- In general, Japanese consumers are indifferent to financial services except for savings, loans, life insurance and automotive insurance.
- We are looking for innovations to promote more engagement around additional financial products e.g. investment portfolios.

Super Smart Authentication
- Smart and simple new customer authentication solutions for clients of financial institutions (e.g. banks and insurance companies).
- The authentication solutions that we are looking for include but are not limited to online and mobile interactions. The category also extends to smart ways of authenticating customers in physical locations e.g. bank branches and retail outlets.
